Summer Programs at the Library
Join Mrs. Patty and Mrs. Lauren for FREE programs for children & families! During busuness hours, WCPL offers weekly age-specific programs designed to encourage a life-long love of reading. Look for special guests and their locations and times in the brochure linked below.
Wondering what programs are appropriate for your kiddos? Here's the breakdown:
- Book Bunch: This program for toddlers aged 2 1/2 to preschool includes stories, music, & crafts. Tuesdays @ 10am.
- Book Babies: This program is an interactive story time and playgroup designed for infants, young toddlers, and their caregivers. Wednesdays @ 10am.
- Adventure Seekers: This program for children in grades K-2, features books and crafts/activities that are focused around a central theme. Wednesdays @2pm
- Conservative Warriors: Local conservation experts from St. Marks and Fish & Wildlife Conservation come to teach about our local wildlife and aquatic ecology. Kids will learn through hands-on fun and knowledge building from local experts! Open to all ages! Thursday June 6th,;July 11th & 25th @4pm.
- LEGO Club: LEGO Club is designed to provide kids with an enjoyable activity that stimulates & develops spatial intelligence. They will be able to create whatever leaps into their imaginations! Open to all ages. 1st & 3rd Tuesdays at 4pm.
- Manga Club: This club is intended for middle and high school aged young adults. We'll explore different topics such as manga and anime art, influences (in literature, film & tv), classic Japanese manga vs. modern manga, and maybe try an Asian inspired snack. Thursday June 13th; 27th; July 11th; 25th @ 5pm.
Special Programs:
- TMH READ Therapy Dogs, Saturdays, @10am @ WCPL call library for dates, as this changes.
- Spring Open House Dr. Seuss themed 9-1 Saturday March 2nd.
